Glenn K.M. Chang is a self-taught photographer who has been working with 35 mm and digital cameras for over 20 years. Raised in Hawaii, he lived for 14 years in Colorado, and moved to Indiana in 2006.
A fine art and commercial photographer, Glenn’s work has focused on nature and the wild environment. His work draws on the inspiration of the landscapes of the high mountain country of the Rocky Mountains and Sierras, the deserts of the Southwest, and the wild and scenic beauty of the Pacific coast. Now living in the rural country of the Midwest, Glenn now searches with his camera for the gems of water, forests, and natural environments hidden away in the landscape.
Glenn’s photographs attempt to capture an ephemeral moment when the play of light and shadow, color, textures, and patterns show a special quality of a subject. These qualities can speak to us in powerful and spiritual ways that we need to be attuned to and aware of, or they will pass us by unnoticed.
Glenn is a member of Artists’ Own, an artists’ cooperative gallery in Lafayette, Indiana. He has been represented in galleries in Colorado, California, and Oregon, and has had a large number of one-man and group shows. His photographs are produced as fine art prints, as well as calendars, greeting cards, and books.
Glenn has taught photography classes in both Colorado and Indiana. His classes cover beginning and advanced photographytechniques, working with digital cameras, as well as photographic composition.
